I'd like to "deep-link" to certain satellites from an EO web application. For that, it would be cool if the layers and satellite elements would be encodeable into the URL....
By sending the ID of the last lightning strike, the backend can save traffic by only sending new lightning strikes instead of all.

Non-pro users are confused by the many colors and pixelated clouds; we should offer smoothly rendered clouds with less variation in color for non-stormchasers.
Sometimes DWD radar data is delayed or not updated at all. Sometimes blitzortung is down. Show information about this in the menu bar.

The worst parts of a thunderstorm (the pixels with extremely high reflectivity) are indistinguishable from the background tiles, since they're both black. This is extremely misleading. Can probably be fixed...
