Ok that's good then. It's cause you said originally "The first word of each menu item is capitalized, but it looks better if it's not." which seemed to mean everything...

In fact for (1): "black" could not work. It has to be some kind of color. Maybe some kind of blue or green.
Yes but black on black is not going to work ;) Unless the option inverts both the background **and** the controls.
