Having the same problem. Especially using the golemancer's bell, half the time the golems don't do anything when requesting and item, they just spin around on the spot the other...

Oh, and I forgot to mention that it's on a server.
Okay, so I worked it out. Seems like maximum essence is controlled client side? This does not seem right as it easily allows cheating and other problems. Please fix.
