Right now the font size is probably too small. On small screens it's complicated to tap over menu dropbox elements.

I can confirm this issue is still happening.
Interesting, we tested it locally and also from github-actions. Adding that flag seems to return accurate results. Maybe it should use that by default?

Getting similar issue, even 2 minutes wait sometimes. I was told it's maybe because I'm using matrix.org homeserver which is known to be slow, but I don't see that slowness...
Also might be worth bench-marking using other homeservers or even a local one.
Note from my testings: Performing a bulk ban in different rooms is just taking a few seconds per room, nothing compared with sending a message.
I can confirm this issue on Firefox, document content fonts are always burry, no matter the hinting mode selected. I also reported this over here: https://webcompat.com/issues/59717 Zoom settings don't solve...
