I'm experiencing the same issue on mobile Firefox Nightly, on Android. Deploying per the docs gives me no VR mode on mobile, and the motion-sensitive (rotating the phone, etc) controls...
(Oh, I should specify: This is Firefox for Android, both nightly and release, on an up-to-date Nexus 6P.
The examples at aframe.io don't work, with identical problems. The webvr-polyfill examples are 404ing right now. Interestingly, the aframe boilerplate example at https://ngokevin.github.io/aframe-react-boilerplate/ does work, on github, but doesn't work...
Is your gh-pages branch from dev, rather than master?
I'm not sure if there's room on this list for services that have an open-source component, but I haven't thought about it much.
I think I'm going to decline this; "FOSSy versions of existing tools" isn't quite what I'm after here. It's an interesting thing but I don't think this is the right...
I have been able to reproduce this with the version of Cage that is provided in the apt repositories, but I haven't been able to reproduce it with Cage built...
On Debian Sid, installing the libwlroots and libwlroots-dev packages (version 0.18.1) does not appear to give me whatever pkg-config needs for them to be discoverable.
I agree, I only think that it would be an ergonomic convenience. If there's no appetite to add it in here, though, I'm happy to see this closed.
