I also had a peek at `/Users/distiller/.rubies/ruby-2.7.3/lib/ruby/2.7.0/open3.rb` but nothing looked obviously amiss to me.
I ended up making my own S3 upload solution by installing and using the AWS CLI tool and didn't use the Fastlane plugin. Not exactly a solution to this problem...
Did this ever get resolved?

It would make a lot of sense to keep the data in a storage solution and out of git (maybe just include a very small data sample in the app...
@josegonzalez What do you think? Team up to put all those big data sets in S3, update the apps to go there instead and make nice small samples to ship...
