Not sure if this is still an active issue since there were some changes in Zeus/Spectator code. But the original issue does not describe what was decided in the end.
More/better API for this could be added, but this issue is not on-topic for that.

Realistically, this is not getting finished for ACRE2 at this point anymore.
Spatial setting is now displayed on pop-up since #722. Cell phones are not going to happen.
