Ouf, just ran into this bug on a robot I'm working on. This fix would be very welcome in the ROS1 .deb!
I can confirm that allowing anonymous login fixes this issue.
I've been watching these changes with interest since I use Axis PTZ cameras quite often. I tried using the driver with an Axis P5512-E, and unfortunately it did not work....
Make sure you define different ports for each sensor. Currently it looks like both are using 2368. So set one of them to 2369 (or some other unused port).
Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately it's tough to predict what the cameras will be used for. The system is being built for a client who is keeping the actual use-case...
