It seems the runtime-deps v8.0.4 wasn't uploaded to https://packages.microsoft.com/centos/8/prod/Packages/d/ I get "nothing provides" when updating.
It crashes for me, too (Version 119.0.2151.93 (Official build) (64-bit) on Windows 10), the crash has been reported under bucket id 2b2f32c7593ef08415290778ff36bcfe and I've submitted feedback about it, too.
You can just reenable it (if you like to live dangerously) by going to Manage extensions, opening it and clicking the toggle next to Off.
