Ok I submitted a pull request to make this work like it would on Linux. This allowed me to run the app from the CLI on macOS 12.5
Just to be clear, this issue was about macOS calendar app. The other is about iOS calendar. You'd think they are the same but they are slightly different.

Just as a followup, I am now on Rectangle 0.68 and macOS 12.6.5 and export is working fine.
I am seeing the same issue. Never have the issue when running the previous release 4.12.
