This appears to be https://github.com/ember-cli/ember-cli/issues/9404#issuecomment-792335093, which has a workaround patch that folks can apply.
the netcode is a disaster that needs to be rewritten. Maybe we can talk Chogon into sharing the UU netcode :P

Combining them all into a single texture is one way to do this, but then the texture has to be mapped to a large enough area to see every shadow....
I've done some stuff with Freetype and harfbuz - I think Pango is too heavy a library to pull in just for text layout.
It ought to. It's used as the backend layout engine for both Pango and Qt. The docs don't exist, but the headers are fairly self-documenting.
dumping the screen is entirely too slow now, agreed. This may not get fixed with the current pipeline, but I'll try to make it somewhat sane with the plGLPipeline
Some work on shadows has been done at this point. Are we comfortable closing this, or do we feel there's more work we'd like to see?
The glue isn't attached to the files from moul-scripts until you actually build a pak. If you were to decompyle this pak you would see the glue is attached to...
