I don't think my root cause was the same as your but if you use **custom DNS server** (for example **pihole**) fc.yahoo.com could be blocked. So ensure you can open...
+1 I agree, even the outdated library [has an asynchronous client](https://github.com/alpacahq/alpaca-trade-api-python/blob/master/alpaca_trade_api/rest_async.py) @hiohiohio, can you confirm to @projects2080 that his latest proposal for a backwards-compatible PR to enable asynchronous/await is correct?
