Same issue here. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I am *not* running VS Code with admin rights (it's a corporate machine).

Regarding the plugin version, I installed it from the Elgato Marketplace. I wonder if it's ok to just install another version from somewhere else? Happy holidays :)
