The main repo hasn't been updated yet, theirs a fix in the development branch around getting the version info, however that will sometimes give you a error starting as well...
If you are able to, I'd suggest trying out cloning this fork&branch: https://github.com/HotaruBlaze/NSO-RPC/tree/startUp-MacOS and seeing if you still get the above errors, This would require python 3 already being installed...
