Side note, I am using this library with [Adafruit Circuit Playground Bluefruit](https://www.adafruit.com/product/4333) where it seems to be working fine. Maybe `nRF52840` should be added to the supported list?
This approach works just fine for me as well. Would you like me to add it to the docs, perhaps in tier 2?

The issue appears to only occur with the modeline that Doom uses by default. I switch to `telephone-line` and can no longer reproduce.
It seems that setting `which-key-allow-imprecise-window-fit` may resolve this issue. It does unfortunately cause #231 to occur, but that is much better than a full hang of emacs.
FWIW `which-key-allow-imprecise-window-fit` does not entirely resolve the issue, but it does significantly reduce the frequency of it occurring.
I also experience this issue when using doom-emacs with which-key. I am not able to reproduce it when just loading which-key and doom-modeline. Unfortunately I have to enable this option...
