Updating Python to latest fixed it. I updated from Python 3.9 to 3.10 and the bug was gone.
This looks way better than the square icon, which looks a little outdated with all the circle icons nowadays

Untick 'hide edit options'. I did that and the button appeared immediately. Looks like it's still hidden even without a pomodoro running.

I think some songs have synchronised lyrics now. Some don't though.
