+1 100% also incorperate the option to use SQLite, or specify the parameters for external db I.e. mysql, postgres, cockroach
Dunno if it'll help you at all almost a year later, but if someone stumbles across this, I just simply run in the spoolman directory `pip install cryptography` I did...
