I have the same problem, also the camera source doesn't work on restart.
I have 8 phones, only 1 will allow installation.
got it working by removing some plugins, Don't know which one was causing the problem yet. Now to figure out how to keep camera source working on restart.
webcam still very buggy. Camera doesn't come back when changing menu items example (pretty gcode to control). On restart, wrong camera starts ( front not back). Sometimes selecting camera source...
I just soldered a charge cable to the two battery pins in the phone
hard wire the phone.
Yes, I use a Samsung j3. I'd find a cheaper phone with removable battery. solder 2 wires +, - to the contact pins on the phone, no battery needed.
