iron-*, paper-* sounds very weird to me.
Why not just call it `ui-*`, e.g. `ui-list`. It's simple and clear. For the paper counter-parts, maybe just `paper-ui-*`. Just a thought.
IMO, for major versions, making it break by default and providing migration or fix kits might be a better philosophy.
