I think you should use [getPanel](http://developer.linuxmint.com/reference/2.6/cinnamon-js/cinnamon-js-ui-panel-PanelManager.html#cinnamon-js-ui-panel-PanelManager-getPanel) method instead of `Main.panel` and `Main.panel2`.
