OK, well cleaning the build folder in AppCode mad the compiler crash go away.

I have had the same issue in Swift. Is this project actively supported? If not, why has it not been deprecated?

Here is the solution. The latest version of CocoaPods available from HomeBrew is 1.16.2. This requires an Xcode project format version of 16.0. It does not work with a Xcode...
