HI. This still is a problem in 25.1 both alpine and ubuntu. What's the actual fix? Why does this happen?

Referent properties that are `nil` are always marked as failing to sync by the plugin

Really confusing, makes it difficult to identify legitimate sync issues among the sea of nil -> nils.
