Regarding indirection when accessing qstr’s see #8191

mpremote on Mac OS X: allow env var or option in config file to select default serial port to use

You could do: `mpremote connect /dev/cu.usbmodem*` - I use that as an alias.

Improve handling of relative paths in `directory` field of `compile_commands.json` (spec is unclear)

Please make this default to workspace folder again.
