I think this issue is better raised in [ng-select](https://github.com/ng-select/ng-select)'s repo, as `select-tags.component.html` uses `ng-select`. I am not experienced with PeerTube source code though, might wanna wait for someone to confirm.
It works with consult, but I wonder if there's a way to get it working with just Vertico - i.e. the raw `switch-to-buffer` and `kill-buffer` commands.
