+1 for this feature. **Use case:** Trying to hide google verification files which are missing doctypes (because they're only one line). Workaround for now is to turn off the doctypes...

Original suggestion came from me and YES totally would love to have it configurable. Also I'd be totally happy to contribute the PR to modify build.js if you want.
