I believe many of the URLSession issues have been fixed, including [this one](https://github.com/IBM-Swift/SwiftRuntime/issues/237) in swift 3.1. Whenever there is an official release, we can try to use URLSession again.

I wouldn't worry about it for now, unless we stick with that frequency detection code.
