I find shutting down the wifi causes the block to fire, but it doesn't seem to work properly when I turn wifi back on as it still records "no wifi"....

I have the same problem on a lenovo T470s running the latest Fedora. I have the same fingerprint reader. Were you able to find a fix? Thanks Darren.
