Same issue. Just installed version "^20.0.1" to face this error. Running npm install @types/d3 --save-dev fixed the issue, but we shouldn't be have to install it manually.

@ericodes Wow, a year later I face the exact same problem. Do we have to use ng-show? In my case ng-if is better. @maxisam I don't think that's the case....

@ericodes No problem! Actually I think I just fixed it by adding `restrict="reject"` and it worked in the ng-if :)
