Exeption in FITKITNoSuchMethodError: The setter 'stepRecord=' was called on null

Step count not working.Without installaing Google fit app.But when I install google fit it works good.How to track step without installing google fit application

it does not calculate a correct value for steps.Example if I walk 500 steps it will show 200 steps only. What is the reason for that and how can i fix it.
