We only need SYS_DVBS2X and the symbolrate to be set, the other parameters are automatically detected.
They just didn't care about it or implemented other quirks for it. SYS_DVBS2X was officially not supported before, you're pretty safe to say if it's not supported by the drivers...
just FYI Sundtek Dual S2 supports DVB-S2X. I think some here own such a unit? SkyTV 8 (single tuners) since 2019 support S2X too.
When standby kicks in it might possibly reset the multiswitch. For this instance you would have to disable standby eg. /etc/sundtek.conf standby_timeout=50000 I think that value should do, it's 50...
