Wew, about time I found a bug report about this, didn't knew how to report it myself. I can also confirm that the good chromium releases don't have text rendering...

Libva is for hw video acceleration, so i doubt its related.
I've noticed that the text rendering bug i get on pleroma instances is far lesser with that version of chrome. well, that's nice...

oh, nice. Now it does work, but the performance seems to be the same. Let me try the currently latest build.
