I don't get it exactly... how can I load such a version? If I go to Configure Carla I can only choose between single-mode, multi-mode, rack and patchbay.
okay I got it its a plugin :)
If you use carla in JACK multi-client mode you can add a "carla patchbay (16 channels)" plugin which will do what you want. thats it :) thanks!
