I guess the bigger point is: if the performance of tungstenite and websocket-lite aren't significantly different, than what's the point of this project? Perhaps something is off from the benchmark?

wouldn't really recommend you use this for anything practical 🙃 was more of a proof of concept than anything else. I like quite kdb+/q and also Shakti I'd recommend those...
Have you checked out BQN? Seems pretty exciting, open source, and actively maintained though I haven't done much with it myself.
If you have interest in this project do you want commit access? Don't really plan on working on it myself
