Calendar events location not working for me as well. I seen 2 entries only one time, but after 10min, when update happened, they have disappeared.
I have the same problem but module is gone after few minutes
Settings - Notifications - Advanced Settings - Show app icon in notifications. Turning that off solved it for me. Found this solution on Reddit
