Thank you. Your proposed `"spelling_selector"` workaround works. I would rather have spell-check on something I don't want than not have it on something I do!

Update for anyone having a similar problem: I was able to circumvent the issue by downloading a standalone pouchdb.js file (full developer version). I'm guessing this means the online version...
