I briefly checked out the DuckDB extension, is there a reason you did not opt for the [MultiFileReaderInterface](https://github.com/duckdb/duckdb/blob/6e13b87b52176e2b598ea04d5b1044279e742c21/src/include/duckdb/common/multi_file/multi_file_function.hpp#L20)?
I am currently studying different file formats for my thesis, including Vortex 😄. As a goal I'm also implementing a DuckDB extension, so was curious about the design choices.
