I got the same issue when using PySimpleGUIQt in combination with pynput.. :( On High Sierra, and Mojave..
That would be great, did anybody start some statistics/benchmarks already?
I just came across the same problem, it would indeed be nice to have this functionality. If there's no process on this issue yet, I'll be having a go soon.
I think I managed to do a workaround, but to be honest I have no idea what I was doing back then.

Thank you, I have solved it for myself at least. Simply find a faster internet connection and it worked.

Whoops. That repo is good and should help a lot to compile a lib and for Windows compilable headers. I'll try to find time soon and let you know here...
