I just realized that it is not core dumping on my Lenovo laptop with intel HD graphics with the identical packages Fedora 35 installed! Other machines have Nvidia cards.
Update, I reverted the sddm build (dependence) and using sddm-x11 with plasma-x11. So, the problem is either with sddm wayland or using sddm-wayland with plasma-x11.
What does it take to build it, say on Fedora 39 with NVIDIA drivers installed? I have a number of systems.
I just upgraded my workstations to Fedora 40 but I had retired a few that had 39 on them. I can reconnect those and try this. Let me know how...
PS; they do have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed.
Fedora 40 is running gcc 14.1, unfortunately.
