ImportError: Using `bitsandbytes` 8-bit quantization requires Accelerate: `pip install accelerate` and the latest version of bitsandbytes: `pip install -i https://pypi.org/simple/ bitsandbytes`

Had the same error following this tutorial: https://huggingface.co/docs/peft/main/en/developer_guides/quantization on a Kaggle P100 GPU. torch.cuda.is_available() returns True as well.

Had the same issue on an M3 with Python 3.13 Switching to Python 3.12 solved the problem 👍🏻
