I have this problem too:

This now works correctly in 2.2.2 for me. Perhaps we can close this issue?
I have two large Org files, one with 40,868 lines and the other with 4,842 lines. A couple of days ago, I migrated the _smaller_ file (with just 687 headings)...
**Note:** Yesterday, I split one of my big Org files into about 450 small files and Org Roam works _super-great_ now. Fast!
Perhaps Org Roam could check the file modification time first, before computing the hash.
