Just to clarify: `2² ** 3` should be one of the test cases and it currently evaluates to 64 rather than `2 ** 2 ** 3 == 256`

Hit more or less identical symptom playing with [Grammar::Modelica](https://github.com/albastev/Grammar-Modelica) . Switching from `|` to `||` (LTM to regular alternation) worked for the Grammar::Modelica case and also worked when I tried...
