volume widget doesn't appear on boot

When booting in awesome wm, the volume widget doesn't appear on the bar. but after restarting the wm(not restarting pc), it appears in the bar, and works perfectly.

I have installed the package from aur in arch linux. but can't execute the program as can't find the binary in system after installing. command "todoist" shows not found.

How to customize the whole design?
