Well somehow lighttpd is running again. Did a purge remove of it. Now /dump1090.php shows the menu header and then "404 - Not Found" No clues in lighttpd's log
Ugh. Finally got it. I had to empty /var/www/html and then reinstall both 1090 and the portal.
sudo rm -rf /var/www/html/* Just be careful rm -rf ‘ing anything, it cant be undone.
