Thanks for checking! After you said it worked for you, I did some more digging and found that the problem doesn't occur when Visual Assist is disabled. Otherwise, nothing else...
I've been asking on the VA forums too, just in case: https://forums.wholetomato.com/forum/topic.asp?whichpage=1&TOPIC_ID=16837#58392 They suggested I try VsVim 2.9 here: http://vsixgallery.com/extension/VsVim.Microsoft.e214908b-0458-4ae2-a583-4310f29687c3/ After uninstalling 2.8 and installing 2.9, the problem still occurs.
