Grammatically, in German it's not possible to put the object after the verb in this case. How about just leaving `%s` out in the German locale?
I think the issue might be related to whether one dismisses the respective notification or clicks on it.
Today, I got one duplicate notification from one other app too, so maybe Mastodon doesn't cause the issue itself. Still, most of Mastodon's notifications come twice. FYI: I use /e/...
