@TyLindberg The [line of code that set the default opacity value](https://github.com/kcoley/gltf2usd/commit/c0301fc9579739c826d51be97fc1d169f2c78e65#diff-5ead7b55ee04851dfb604f35d2c03bfaL78) was removed on commit c0301fc9579739c826d51be97fc1d169f2c78e65 like you suspected. Adding it back fixed it for me, but may not work...

@fatuhoku , I had the same problem. Please take a look at the PR I just submitted. That might solve your problem temporarily, while @bananita works on reviewing the PR.
