Hi @christopher-drews, Supporting namespaces is on the agenda. Last year I prototyped a few ideas on [my other repo](https://github.com/punkstarman/serde-xml) before settling on an idea that I liked.

Yeah, I think that this is not the only example. @dtolnay, once told me that round-tripping wasn't all that useful in practice. @Plecra, what is your motivation for requiring this?
