If you're pulling it from Maven central or JCenter or similar that is probably fine.
I'm using callbacks when connecting, but they will never be called due to this problem. I'd prefer to not block on waitForCompletion().
We don't do anything special. I also had a look at the code, but I didn't see why it would deadlock like that. On my laptop it was reproducible close...
I think different classloaders is the only reasonably explanation for the behavior. Is it possible that quarkus just enables parallalism in gradle while jib's multi-module exmaple doesn't ?
