Remove SD card with maps from the USB hub. Otherwise Mazda built-in navigation works in background consuming CPU resources. It's the only thing that really helps, but don't expect miracles.

Have you tried to update from 59.x to 70.0.0.100A (obligatory) and then straight to 74.x with serial connection during the last update as described [here](https://mazdatweaks.com/id7/)?
