No. Doesn't work.
I have a magic engine bram file full of different game saves. I would use it on your emu.
The load bram doesn't work. Meantime i've found a bram manager that permit me to transfer single saves from 8kb magic engine bram to your emulator 2kb bram. https://github.com/Widdiful/PCE_BRAM_Manager
